We all enjoyed our Ancient Egyptian Day! We dressed up and did lots of fun, interesting activities. We learnt about the process on mummification, designed a sarcophagus and even mummified a member of the class!

We have been learning about Hinduism. We learnt about the place of worship, the Mandir, and all about the festival of Diwali including the story of Rama and Sita.

We explored Puja, Hindu worship.

Investigating carbon dioxide. The children in year 4 have been learning about the states of matter. In this investigation, we dropped raisins into fizzy pop and observed what happened. We noticed that the raisins danced up and down. This is because the carbon dioxide acts like a life jacket keeping the raisin afloat but when the bubble pops it sinks back down again. the process continues until the carbon dioxide has gone. We had great fun and enjoyed seeing whose raisin danced the best!
