Welcome to Reception
Our team are :
14th June 2019
Ahoy me hearties! Sorry, still 'in character'...
A big THANK YOU to all our dads for joining our Fathers' Day celebrations this afternoon, we hope you enjoyed this event as much as your children - and the staff!
Earlier this week, Nursery and Reception had our 'Healthy Heart Day' which consisted of a variety of exciting activities to better educate us about how our hearts work, what they do and how to keep them healthy. We investigated (fake) blood, learned about the role of red and white blood cells and platelets, made fruit kebabs, discussed healthy food and lifestyles and even learned a new song!
Throughout this week, we have been privileged to observe our butterflies slowly emerging from their chrysalids. Your children have been fascinated, rushing in to school each day to check on their progress and, by this morning, all the chrysalids were empty.
The rain held off just long enough for us to visit our Woodland area and release them all.
What a wonderful experience!
Next week, we will continuing our learning about 'Pets' so, if anyone has an interesting pet that they would like to bring into school to share with us, please let us know.
Thank you for your continued support.
Wishing you all a peaceful and restful weekend and a very happy Fathers' Day!
