English | Back to basics: children to develop joined handwriting skills, punctuation and use of conjunctions through the genres of poetry and story-telling. Poetry: Michael Rosen (Don’t do that! And Down behind the dustbin). Animals poems linked to Science work. Story Telling: Traditional Tales (inc. Jack and the Beanstalk linked to learning about plants in science). |
Mathematics | Revisiting the 4 operations and revise all subjects ahead of SATs. Children will also practise SATs style questions. |
