16th July 2019

A very 'Good Evening' to you all.

We're all exhausted following our fabulous trip to Twycross Zoo! Indeed, many of us fell asleep on the coach during our return journey to school!

During our visit, we learned about different types of animals. We are now able to identify a mammal: they have fur; a reptile: they have scales; an insect: they have six legs; and a bird: they have feathers.

We were even able to handle a Bearded Dragon, a Giant Snail and a Giant Cockroach named Alan!

We saw many interesting animals but were particularly enthused by the gorillas, the leopards and the giraffes.

Three more 'wake ups' to go. Tick, tock...

The Reception Team.

Our topic this term is 'All creatures great and small'.
