  • Communicating with School

Effective communication is at the heart of an effective school. We cannot stress how important it is for us all to be able to communicate in an open, honest but respectful and non-threatening manner. We all have a shared, common purpose – ensuring the very best for every pupil.

The Home/School Communication Policy below sets out clear guidance on:

    • How to contact school staff
    • Expected response times
    • Appropriate times for communication
    • Information you can expect from us

Parents should always email the school office about non-urgent issues in the first instance. (office@ol-wayside.solihull.sch.uk) Please do not email directly to staff. Within the subject box, please place FAO followed by name of member of staff you wish to contact.

We aim to respond to all emails within 3 working days.

If the issue is urgent, parents should phone the school office.
